“You are the personally responsible for becoming more ethical than the society you grew up in” - Eliezer Yudkowsky
Self-care is absolutely vital to living a life of balance, health and vitality.
Vamos Verde SA welcomes both beginners and experienced yoga practitioners.
We offer a yoga journey that is perfect for those that are beginning, and those that are seeking deeper instruction.
Each class includes movement, breath, relaxation and meditation techniques to strengthen the mind and body connection.
Lucy London Gemmell was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa.
She has recently stumbled upon what it means to be a conscious human being.
In 2015, Lucy packed her bags and said goodbye to her life in Johannesburg and boarded a plane to Nicaragua.
Lucy will always remember her months in Nicaragua as the ‘place that stole my soul with the rich culture and untouched lands) and also a place where she received her first yoga certification (Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow 200h YTT).
Upon arriving back in South Africa, Lucy did her second certification at Tegan B Yoga in 2017 in Vinyasa 200h YTT). After the certification, Lucy decided to partake in Budokon Yoga. In 2019, she completed her Yin YTT along with a diploma in Thai Yoga Massage.
She is known for: Laughing obnoxiously loudly and being upside down.
Personal motto: Keep showing up, even on the hard days – especially on the hard days.
If Lucy is not in a yoga studio, you’ll find her: On the sofa with a good book or frolicking in the park trying to get as much dog love as possible.
We offer a few yoga styles
Strong Vinyasa flow links breath to movement. Expect to work hard as you build up to absolute absorption and surrender to movement.
Hatha involves bodily exercise with breathing techniques. Its purpose is to improve vital energy and mind.
Yin is a slow-paced style of yoga that focuses on opening the connective tissue such as ligament and bone.
Budokon style yoga is a modern yoga style which unites the ancient tradition of self-inquiry with modern mixed movement.
